Samurai Daisho
I recently went to the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) in London, and found myself looking at part of the Japanese collection. I learned that the Samurai class wore two swords together in their belt, the pair being known as the daisho. The full size sword was known as the katana, and the shorter sword was the wakizashi. The daisho was a kind of badge of honour of the Samurai, and only they wore the pair in this way.
