Hiji Jime

I came across a reference to Hiji Jime (elbow lock), which is not a technique we learn at my dojo. I found a description in Dynamic Aikido, one of Gozo Shioda's books.

Hiji Jime is a technique where the uke's arm is straightened and pressure is applied to the back of the elbow, pushing the joint the wrong way (gyaku, as Shioda says). I wondered if this is a uniquely Yoshinkan thing, since I'm sure that Sensei Chris would not approve of this technique....
